Ecology & Enchantment

As more people question the extractive, transactional view humanity often holds toward the Earth, new paths are emerging—ways of being that honor our connection to the environment. Among them are those who believe a different way of relating to the world is possible without the need for “enchantment,” inspired by the respectful practices of diverse cultures. And then there are the re-enchanters: those who embrace a poetic relationship with nature, seeing the land as alive, animated, and worthy of reverence.

My work draws from this latter perspective, inspired by people who speak to rivers as old friends, who ask the wind to carry their gratitude across the Earth, and who feel a deep kinship with the wildlife around them. Through art, I hope to reflect this enchanted relationship—a reminder of the small, daily gestures that can bridge our lives with the natural world in ways that are both protective and transformative.
